How Invisalign Works
Like traditional braces, Invisalign in Grand Prairie uses tension to guide your teeth to their correct position. The approach is different, though. Instead of cumbersome brackets, wires and bands toiling in tandem to straighten your teeth, Dr. Nguyen will use advanced 3-D imaging to map out a complete orthodontic plan tailored to meet your specific smile needs.
She’ll send the information to our lab partners for the fabrication process. Usually, in two weeks, we’ll have the complete set of treatment trays ready for you to retrieve. You’ll wear each set of trays for 22 hours a day and for around two weeks. At the end of each two-week period, you’ll exchange them for the next set of trays in the series. With each new set, you’ll be getting a step closer to achieving the smile of your dreams. To ensure that you’re progressing on schedule, Dr. Nguyen may request to see you every four to six weeks.
